I absolutely love going to a restaurant and whipping out a metal straw. It’s always hilarious to see the looks on the waiters’ faces when they see what I’m doing. Confusion mixed with humor is a good way to describe it.
And if finding humor in confusing people isn’t reason enough to buy a few metal straws, think about how many end up in the ocean. In America, us avid fast food buyers and Starbucks sippers use around 500 million plastic straws in a single day. Most of that ends up in the ocean.
What’s the use of a fine house if you haven’t got a tolerable planet to put it on?
